Less “Monday Blues”, More “Mid-May Muse”
Happy Monday, Lewisham! If you’re currently nursing a lukewarm coffee and wondering how it’s already the 11th of May, you’re in good company. We’ve officially reached that awkward part of the year where the weather can't decide if it’s "light jacket" or "arctic survival" season, and my allergies are currently staging a protest against every tree in London.
In this week’s loop:
A song-writing taster for young musicians.
Comedy that’s cleaner than your kitchen (hopefully)
Finding your zen in Lewisham.
A few specially highlighted events for our local seniors.
Workshops for aspiring songwriter
Taster session for young musicians

Lewisham Music is hosting a song-writing taster session for teen musicians at their venue by Bellingham station. Young musicians will learn about topics such as tone and performance from a professional, preparing them for workshops on song writing and improv in the summer term. These workshops will culminate in a performance at Lewisham Music’s Rooftop Sessions. These sessions are aimed at 14-19 years old aspiring instrumentalists, vocalists, spoken word artists and rappers looking to develop their musicianship skills.
Reserve a free spot for the taster session here.
